Dr. Leila Nasser
Growing up, Leila had a passion for helping others and living a healthy lifestyle. She’s always wanted to have a career within the health care field. However, after hearing about Osteopathy from her PE teacher at school, she was immediately intrigued and amazed by the osteopathic profession. Leila’s love for Osteopathy grew after she suffered recurring injuries throughout her first year of study. She learnt first-hand, what Osteopaths could do for aspiring athletes and those suffering from recurring injuries.
While completing her studies of Osteopathy, Leila was exposed to multiple clinical settings, ranging from community outreach clinics to the student clinic. Each clinical environment provided different learning experiences, leading her to understand that each patient is unique. Leila learnt that every treatment must be personalised and centred around the patient’s goals and needs.
Leila has always loved being active. From playing tennis since the age of seven to running track during her high school years, this has helped develop her understanding of sports injuries. Leila worked as a sports trainer for Beaconsfield Junior Football Club, offering her hands-on experience, helping with football injuries.
After a long break due to injuries, Leila is working towards her goal of playing high-level competitive tennis and helping as many people as possible to overcome those similar injuries that stop them from achieving their own goals and enjoying life to their full potential.
Further to sporting injuries, Leila also has a keen interest in treating lower back, pelvic and rib pain, as well as pregnancy and basic injury rehabilitation.
Outside Osteopathy, one can either find Leila out on the tennis court or at the gym working on her own health and fitness goals. She also enjoys going for long drives across Melbourne on adventures with her close friends and family.
