Ross Darling

Ross completed his Remedial Massage Therapy at the Australian College of Fitness and Bodywork and loved it so much that he continued his healthcare journey with an Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy. Ross will complete his qualification over in the coming months while enjoys working at Berwick Osteopathy. Ross will also continue to develop his clinical reasoning while adding to his therapist toolbox valuable resourcefulness, such as myofascial dry needling as he continues his qualification in Myotherapy.

Ross’ father practiced as a massage therapist in which he benefited greatly from his father’s treatments throughout his early sporting life.  Ross played professional rugby at both a State and National level in Scotland and Australia, and he firmly believes that massage along with a love of lifting weights certainly kept him on the park more often!

Ross’ keen interest in physiology and anatomy drew him to leave a long career in finance to study Remedial Massage as a mature age student. Over time, Ross’ focus changed from being interested in sporting injuries to treating the every-day conditions many of us face as we age.

Ross’ passion to help people and desire to learn has led him to further studies outside of his diploma courses. Ross is qualified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Lomi Lomi Massage and he is also a mindfulness trainer. Ross is continuously looking for new areas to grow his knowledge and expertise.

Outside of work, Ross’ likes to maintain his balance by regularly practicing mindfulness. He has maintained a lifelong interest in weight training, especially in strength training.  To add to all his achievements, Ross has even run a marathon in the past, although he readily admits that cardio is not his thing!  Other than that, he loves anything that gets him out of the city, as he genuinely enjoys things like camping, bush-walks and kayaking.
